Yes, my promised 2012 Review post...

Jan 27
It only took me a couple of weeks to do. So, here goes!
First major event of the year (and I know, I've already posted about this...) - Andrew's Birthday!

We celebrated by going to Tucano's with Craig, Karrie, and Jeff. We also ate waffles the morning of his birthday - trying to carry on the Potter tradition!
Next was Valentine's day. We really didn't do anything exciting - but I tried to surprise Andrew with some treats.

I was trying to make these mason jars really cute - but it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted. Oh well...
Ali and Jeff came to visit a couple of times (and Jeff lived with us for a while) but we had some fun while they were here. Always involving food...

Oatmeal cream pies - Ali LOVED them

Testing out some NuSkin products
Before...
After
We celebrated Jeff's birthday - with yummy food. What else would we do?!?

In May, we drove home to C/S for a couple of days. Ashley was there and we wanted to see her and the boys before they left for Chicago.
We went for a hike with my family

Celebrated Courtnie's 13th birthday

And celebrated Memorial Day at the park
I did some crafting projects and made some more food...
Made some new curtains
Made a maxi skirt - favorite article of clothing.period.

Chimichangas - YUM!!!!!!!!
Key Lime pie
Andrew made me this chocolate cake.
I really wanted mint pants - but they're a little above my price range...so I found these hideous white pants at DI and made my own!
First I made them skinny
And then with the help of Ali, dyed them mint. LOVE them!
And of course....more food. I made these donuts - they weren't very good...but they sure do look delicious!

At the end of the summer we went to California! Such an awesome trip! We stayed with Andrew's aunt and uncle, and I got to meet his grandma McPheeters, and Cliff and Priscilla came out with us. We went to Yosemite for a couple of days and also spent a day in San Francisco. Other than that, we just had a great time hanging out with family - in CA! I'm trying to talk Andrew into going again....

This is the cabin we stayed in while at Yosemite. Cute and quaint

We played ticket to ride and watched movies on Jeff's ipad a lot...

This one's for my mom - incredible!

Eating a donut - no joking matter

This was probably my favorite part of the entire trip - riding the trolley in San Fran

At the end of August we celebrated my birthday (and the beginning of another semester......can't wait to graduate)

Andrew brought me Noodles for lunch on my birthday. This gazebo is behind one of the buildings on campus. It's really pretty, but we're not sure if we were allowed to go back there - oh well!

These are all my birthday gifts!
We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in October.

Our meager meal. Ramen, grilled cheese, and sharing a Pepsi. Hopefully our  10 year is a little more elaborate
Andrew eating our wedding cake. It still tasted good. As you can see - Andrew broke his hand around that time as well.  We're both glad that is over!
This was our anniversary weekend - we went to Olive Garden, ate more cake, and went to the Foreigners concert.

Andrew's parents came up for Thanksgiving. It was so relaxing. We decided to have dinner at Sundance - SOOOOO yummy. It was a buffet, all you can eat deliciousness.
Bowling on Thanksgiving day

Dinner at Sundance

We went to Temple Square while Andrew's parents were here and saw Savior of the World - a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season.

Jeff took pictures of Andrew and me for our 1 year anniversary. Thanks so much Jeff!

Jeff - you did such a great job!
Christmas Time! We worked at the Riverwoods wrapping gifts again. And then we drove home during the break. We spent time with both my family and Andrew's family - it was fun and relaxing.
Getting ready for the Christmas season at the Riverwoods. Craig told us we look like clowns...like Andrew said, turns out we'll do just about anything for money.
Driving home - Yay!

Played lots of games with Sam and Amie - we had a blast!

Andrew went with his dad to a Nuggets game.

Christmas at the Broadmoor

Too bad we don't have any pictures of Christmas day...
Anyway - there it is - our year in review! It was a good one.
And - i'll make cookies for anyone who figures out how to change those pictures to vertical - I've tried, but failed...

  1. Darling! (You've got to change them and save them as vertical on your computer first, then upload them again. I'm pretty sure Blogger doesn't have a rotate feature...) You guys have so much fun together!
